We are listening to you...

In turbulent times, the Liberal Democrats listen and respond.
In 2025 the Barnet Lib Dems delivered surveys to over 5,000 local people across our Borough. Three themes emerged from the conversations we had and the feedback we received:
Crime: people want to feel safe in their neighbourhood.
Environment: fly-tipping and litter were getting out of control.
Traffic management: parking fines, speeding cars and unnecessary bureaucracy.
Simple things matter: feeling safe, living in a clean environment and a fair and efficient council.
Every week the Lib Dem team in Barnet are out knocking on doors and speaking to local people. Our London Lib Dem MPs are working hard to make lives better for all Londoners. For example, our Spokesperson for London, Luke Taylor MP, has called for the Met Police to be reorganised to create a distinct focus on community policing. Londoners want to feel safer.
The local election on Thursday 7 May 2026 is a referendum on the Labour–led Barnet Council. This is your opportunity to be heard.
